January 27, 2005 Dear Member or Friend of the USACV, It seems fitting to send this message on a day we recall the life of the virgin, Saint Angela Merici. May her prayers draw us closer to our Divine Spouse as we seek to follow wherever He leads. Click here (100k, .pdf) for a summary text of the talk I gave at the 2004 Retreat Gathering for Consecrated Virgins, entitled "The USACV exists to Serve." This presentation introduces to our membership thoughts and plans for the future of our Association. The leadership council of the USACV invites your prayerful consideration and comments on these ideas. Please feel free to give your ideas by email, telephone call, or letter - whatever works for you. Click here to view and print an order form (108k, .pdf) for our new educational video "Consecrated Virgins in Today's Church", which has been mailed to all the Bishops of the United States with an introductory cover letter from Archbishop Burke. The January newsletter gives more details. Sincerely yours in Christ, Judith Stegman, President | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
