What is the

United States Association of Consecrated Virgins?

The United States Association of Consecrated Virgins (USACV) is a voluntary association for women in the United States who have received the Consecration of Virgins for women living in the world, according to the pertinent provisions of Canon Law. (The Association also offers affiliate memberships to others who do not otherwise qualify for full, voting membership.)

The USACV is formed primarily as a vehicle of exchange of information and resources among consecrated virgins, as suggested in Canon 604 §2 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law.

The USACV is officially recognized by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Its episcopal moderator is the Most Reverend Raymond L. Burke, Archbishop of St. Louis.
